Brought Down from Their Fortresses
وَأَنزَلَ ٱلَّذِينَ ظَٰهَرُوهُم مِّنۡ أَهۡلِ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ مِن صَيَاصِيهِمۡ وَقَذَفَ فِي قُلُوبِهِمُ ٱلرُّعۡبَ فَرِيقࣰا تَقۡتُلُونَ وَتَأۡسِرُونَ فَرِيقࣰا ٢٦
And He brought those of the People of the Scripture who supported them down from their strongholds, and cast panic into their hearts. Some ye slew, and ye made captive some.

Meaning
He brought down those of the People of the Book who supported them from their fortresses and cast terror in their hearts.

According to Elmalılı, these were the Jews of Banu Qurayza who broke their pact with the Messenger and backed the Confederates.
