We Split the Earth
ثُمَّ شَقَقۡنَا ٱلۡأَرۡضَ شَقࣰّا ٢٦
Then split the earth in clefts.

Meaning
Then We split the earth apart.

According to Elmalılı, the dull, dry earth stirs and swells with rain, then cracks and brings forth plants. This is a wondrous creation.
